In the 1980s, portraitist Jane Adams visited the Wigmore Hall and sketched musicians rehearsing just before the performance. These form the nucleus of this collection of drawings of, about, and celebrating music. Moments of intimate and acute concentration are captured, and of mutual listening and relationship: the reality at work behind the concert performance.
